Cowtown 10K and a Yoda Moment

A shirt and medal just for running a mere 6 miles.

Do you ever wonder if you’re trying too hard? Last weekend I participated in my first Cowtown race. That 10K got me to thinking.

This past weekend, the Cowtown came to Fort Worth. More than 22,000 people from all over the world (44 states and 10 different countries) gathered at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum to participate in their choice of races: 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon, and ultra marathon (31.25 miles or 50K). Kevin and his friend Deyo both did the Cowtown Challenge: a 10K on Saturday followed by a half marathon on Sunday.
